The torrential rain and flooding along the Eastern Seaboard have temporarily prevented some growers from getting tractors into the fields to harvest. There is no major effect on supply at this stage due to us pulling stock from many growing regions at this time of year.

The new season of Aussie Asparagus is now in full swing. They are excellent value and are expected to stay that way for 2-3 months. Plenty of different grades and sizes are available: Thick, thin & loose. White Asparagus and Purple are available.

Small numbers of White Strawberries have now started.
The quality is excellent but very pricey. The grower is demanding a sale price this year of $25 a punnet.

Many vegetable lines continue to improve in supply and are of good value. These include Cauliflower Blossom (Fioretto), Broccoli, Broccolini, Green Capsicums, Sweet Corn and Zucchini. Tomato lines are still holding their prices for now.

Many vegetable lines have improved in supply and are of good value. These include Beans, Broccoli, Broccolini, Green Capsicums, Snow peas, Sweet corn and Zucchini.
Cabbages were starting to improve but have done a little backflip and have shortened up again.
Tomato lines have also eased and are good value.

Great news, Chef! Many of the main vegetable lines are improving in supply. The supply of Broccoli, Cauliflower, Broccolini, Snow Peas and Zucchini has increased considerably, and prices are easing. Tomato lines are still quite firm with price but should also improve weekly.
